Our Story
In 1992, The Advance Design Studio, Ltd. founder Todd Jurs began what was originally “Advance Builders, Inc.” as a Carpentry Contractor, and later grew the company into a full-fledged Remodeling Firm serving the greater Fox Valley Area. The Jurs family has been part of the fabric of Gilberts since before the turn of the century, as evidenced by the building that is Advance Design’s home which was purchased by Todd’s grandfather for $500 in 1905.
Schooled in Interior Design, Christine worked as a Professional Designer before meeting Todd. They combined their talents in 2002 to share their love of design and business. The newly revamped company; “The Advance Design Studio, Ltd.” was the perfect marriage of Design & Build serving up a wider range of services in more territories, and an ability to offer virtually limitless options to clients.
Todd and Christine set out to make the difficult challenges of remodeling personal, easy, fun, and headache-free. Their educational approach to client and potential client relationships stems from the strong belief that an educated client makes better decisions for themselves and their homes.
Despite the company’s growth over the years, Advance Design still remains a fully family held operation. Todd & Christine are intimately involved with the internal operations of the company on a day to day basis. They have made it their personal mission to grow the company wisely, always keeping the focus on Client Service and a never ending commitment to improvement and expanded services. They remain dedicated to the individual growth of every staff member who works to serve you daily during your project from start to finish… and thereafter.
