Let’s Get Started

We start out by initially getting to know one another. Remember, the single most important decision you will make regarding your project starts with who you hire. Think about it as if you are about to become involved in a serious relationship! Many, many hours and weeks may be spent together creating your dream “home” project…so make sure there is a chemistry that works!

We recommend that you meet with us in our beautiful studio initially, so that you may experience a taste of what our company is like in person. We’ll not only discuss your plans and ideas, but we’ll introduce our staff and get to know each other. We’ll share with you a real project from beginning to end; carefully explaining our system for successful design and project management. We take as much time as you need to answer your questions and familiarize you with our process.

Our next visit will be in your home. Here we will discuss in more detail your ideas and we’ll make some suggestions and observations to help determine a “Design Direction”. This meeting is attended by our Project Manager, who may investigate things like structural issues, venting ability, and any other construction issue that may affect design. If an architect is required, this meeting may include him or her as well. If you are anticipating a Kitchen or Bath Renovation as part of your project, our Kitchen and Bath Designer would attend to help determine preliminary designs that fit with your home. We bring all of our specialized experts together right at the beginning, so you don’t waste time excitedly traveling down a road only to find it unviable when it comes time to implement.

Following this meeting, we will prepare for you a customized Investment Analysis combined with preliminary drawings depicting one or more “design directions” as discussed. This tool once completed will give you the information you will need to know in order to determine the scope of your project and the potential investment required to make your dreams a reality. The range of detailed investment categories will help you set a goal of where you would like your project to fall financially, and serves as a launching point for you and our design team to move forward together with realistic goals in place.
